Apart from the various beautiful beaches, Newquay has to offer you will find the following gems within the town.
Trenance Gardens and Leisure Park
A variety of activities and attractions for all the family: Playgrounds and parks including a skatepark, Newquay Zoo, Heron Tennis Centre, Crown Bowling Green, Waterworld Leisure Centre with 25m pool and fun pool with slides, miniature railway and crazy golf.
Trenance Gardens
Picturesque gardens including a fragrant Rose garden, within the gardens you will find Trenance Cottages which are grade II listed buildings dating back to the 1800s and a cafe.
Boating Lake
On from the gardens, you will find the boating lakes where you can enjoy the wildlife, feeding the ducks or hiring a pedal boat to explore the lakes from the water, with a cafe overlooking the lakes.
Huer’s Hut
The Huer’s Hut can be found on Towan Head overlooking Newquay Bay and was originally a shelter for the Huer, who was employed by the fisherman to keep watch for shoals of pilchards. He would use a giant megaphone-like trumpet to announce their presence and the fisherman would drop everything and head for their fishing boats. The Huer would guide them to the shoal of pilchards. The fisherman worked together using long nets and landed their catch at the Harbour.
Barrowfields
A green open space on top of the cliffs between Lusty Glaze Beach and Tolcarne Beach with stunning views of Newquay Bay.
Killacourt
The Killacourt is a green open space between the town centre and the cliff tops of Towan Beach with stunning views of Towan Island and the Harbour, below the Killacourt you will find the Blue Reef Aquarium.
